Stranger
LIMITED EDITION GICLEE
Late-night convenience stores seem alluring with their brightly-colored advertisements and fluorescent lights, but all that’s inside tend to be bad choices. What called this stranger into this beacon? Flaming Doritos? Red Bull? Both? Visually, the silhouette between reflected artificial light sources was graphically intriguing for me. The title is from Billy Joel’s song of the same name. There’s an interlude with whistling that initially popped into my head when I looked at this photo that made me think of a stranger wandering the street at night.
