This painting was born during a quiet moment contemplating the weeknight city streets from a rooftop in San Francisco's Russian Hill. After a night enjoying conversation with friends in a local bar and chowing down on some fantastic Thai food, we went for a walk. Several paintings sprung from that night, but this was the cherry on top. My friends took me to the roof of their building for this stunning view. It was exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. The muted palette of night and glowing lights delighted me. And of course, the complete and utter lack of parking- not a spot in sight- inspired the title. This painting was featured in Studio Visit Magazine 2015.
