Drugs & Stationery
LIMITED EDITION GICLEE
This image is the result of another night-time journey with my mom. After visiting an auction I’d donated art to, delivering some prints to a client in SF and taking the photo from Treasure Island that would become the night side of the heart I painted for SF General Hospital Foundation, mom and I had dinner in Redwood City. I was raised in Newark, and my mom has worked in Redwood City for decades. It’s right across the Dumbarton Bridge, not far up the peninsula. The town has tons of charm in its vintage neighborhoods, including this fantastic old storefront. The stained glass reading “DRUGS YOUNGS STATIONERY” sits beneath a newer neon sign. You can still satisfy a late night ice cream craving at Young's in Redwood City, complete with soda jerks.
This fine art print is a limited edition giclee created with acid-free inks on archival paper. Once 100 prints are sold, this image will never be printed again. Your print will arrive signed and numbered, in a protective sleeve. All in standard sizes, these prints are easy to finish with store-bought frames. Prints are shipped in rigid mailers designed to prevent any bending.
